Visits & Volunteering

We are currently receiving many requests from donors who would like to visit us at the shelter in Sri Lanka. However, the protection and safety of women and children are our top priority.

Due to the traumatic experiences, the mother tongue is an important bridge to carefully understand and support the shelter seekers in their phase of recovery. For this we have local professionals who are wonderfully dedicated to the task. That is why, among other things, we cannot offer external volunteer assignments at the moment.

Furthermore, we share the beliefs of ECPAT, in which our team has been trained through workshops on voluntourism: https://ecpat.de/sexuelle-ausbeutung-im-tourismus/#voluntourismus

If you would like to support us voluntarily, you can do so through your own fundraising campaign or financial donation. We are also happy to assist with technical implementation and appreciate any support. Please send us your idea via email.

Additionally, if you find yourself in Sri Lanka, we invite you to join our cooking class in Matara. Your participation in these activities not only enriches your experience but also supports our cause.

We thank you for your understanding and support. Your donation and solidarity mean a lot to us and help us improve the lives of women and children in the shelter.

Donate

As a non-profit foundation, we currently use donations to cover the costs of setting up the NGO on site and setting up the shelter. We are also in the process of defining the measures to ensure security and anonymity and are recruiting locally selected specialist staff in order to be able to guarantee smooth operation and optimal support.

With your donation, you help women affected by violence and their children to escape and get help. Women and children can be strengthened by staying in this shelter. We will then promote future-oriented development so that some of those seeking protection will be able to lead a self-determined life after their stay in the shelter.
