Ponchos for children - hand made by women in Sri Lanka
Our hand-woven children's ponchos are very absorbent and quick-drying. They are light, super comfortable and skin-friendly because they are made of 100% cotton. Whether in the garden, on the beach, at the lake or in the indoor pool: our ponchos are indispensable companions for children from 2 to 12 years! And also very stylish as we think :)

The women behind the looms
Currently we have 4 women working on the handloom. Sookriya is from Pottuvil, used to make sarongs and sarees for the local market, worked in Saudi Arabia as a domestic worker, has 7 children, her husband has a multi-shop in Pottuvil.
Niska, a young, unmarried Muslim woman from Pottuvil, Kalitha, also from Pottuvil and Pushpakumari from Komari - she works in our rice & carry workshop and still needs an apprenticeship. In addition to the 4 hand weavers, there are 2 helpers who spin the thread from the skeins onto the spools.
